What types of accommodations do you offer?

We have Lodge rooms: 10 Queen rooms and a King suite. We also offer a bunkroom (hostel) in the Lodge for the single/budget traveler. Our resort also offers rental cabins situated on 40 acres, all with paved roads/parking and within walking distance of the Lodge. Cabins have either one or two bedrooms, one full bath, full kitchen. Most have a garage and/or a private hot tub. Cabins will accommodate 2-4 people and pricing is based on the number of people. Choose your accommodations (link)

I will be bringing a truck & trailer

We offer truck & trailer parking at no additional charge. Please advise us when making your reservation that you will be needing additional information on parking. Please note our trailer parking is in a specific area of the resort and may not be right next to your cabin

Are pets allowed?

Pets are welcome in our cabins, but not the Lodge rooms. There is a one-time $35 non-refundable pet fee. When traveling with your pet you will need to bring all supplies/bedding for your pet. You will also be required to read and acknowledge our pet rules. Undisclosed pets will result in a $150 cleaning fee. Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA and will incur the $35 pet fee.

Do rooms/cabins have hair dryers? Coffee pots? Irons? Refrigerators?

All of our rooms/cabins are fully accommodated for your visit. They all have a hair dryer, coffee maker, coffee & supplies, iron, towels & linens, refrigerators, and all cabins have fully equipped kitchens.

What payments do you accept, and when is payment due?

Cash, Visa/Mastercard, Discover, American Express

A valid credit card is required to guarantee your reservation at time of booking. Payment is due for your stay in full at time of check-in. You can change your payment type up until time of check-in.

Do you offer any discounts? Packages?

We offer a discount to all past/present military members and first responders. Use promo code USA when making your reservation online, or mention this when you call to make reservations. The discount is 10% off our low daily rate.

Where are the closest stores – grocery? Liquor?

The closest grocery store is a super Wal-Mart, just 3 miles from the resort. Beer & wine are available there and other locations within our county – but NOT on Sunday. For Sunday purchases, you can buy beer & wine in neighboring counties by the drink/by the package, but you will need to inquire as there are various restrictions, depending on county. There are NO liquor stores here. The closest to us are in Ellijay, GA or Murphy, NC.

We offer a full-service restaurant and bar. No outside alcohol can be brought into the Lodge or the porch areas. You are welcome to enjoy alcoholic beverages in your room or cabin.

Can I request a specific cabin?

Cabin requests are based on availability at the time of request. When making a reservation by phone, your guest services representative can assist you with requests. If you make your reservation online, you can make requests in the “special requests” section of your reservation. Once your reservation is made, if you would like to confirm your cabin assignment, please email

Cancellation policy

Our cancellation policy requires notification of cancellation at least three days prior to your arrival. If notification is received within three days of arrival, there is a $50 cancellation fee. This fee can be waived by re-booking your reservation for a later date.

Credit Card policy

We require a major credit card to guarantee/hold your reservation. There are no charges until your visit, and payment methods can be changed at check-in

When is your swimming pool open?

The swimming pool is open from 9 am to dark – Memorial Day to Labor Day each year. It is an outdoor salt water swimming pool and is not heated. There are no communal hot tubs on the property. Many of our cabins offer private hot tubs for your vacation.

When is the restaurant/bar open?

The Flying Trout Restaurant has seasonal hours. Please check our dining page for current hours, or visit The Flying Trout Restaurant website for more information. Union County prohibits the sale of alcohol on Sunday, therefore, the bar is always closed on Sunday.

What to expect after you’ve reserved your trip:

Confirmation email

Whether you reserve online or by phone, you will receive an email confirmation of your reservation within 24 hours, please read this email as it contains important information about your stay. If you have not received this email within 24 hours, please check your spam or junk folders.

Coming-up email

A short time before your visit, you will receive another email outlining our hours of operation and any special events/live music during your stay.

Cancelling your reservation

In the unfortunate event that you need to cancel your reservation, please do the following. Visit our RESERVATIONS SYSTEM HERE. At the top right, click My Reservations and enter the requested information. You can cancel your reservation 24 hours a day as long as you are not within three days of your arrival. You can also email to request a cancellation or change to your reservation.

Early check-in or Late check-out

Check-in time is at 3pm and Check-out is at 11am. Early check-ins and late check-outs are not guaranteed and are based on availability at the time of your arrival. If your room or cabin is available for an early check-in or late check-out a fee will apply.

Early check-ins between 12pm-3:00 pm -$35 fee applies

Earlier than 12pm – payment of 1 full night stay applies

Late check-outs between 11am-2pm -$35 fee applies

Check-outs later than 2pm -Payment of 1 full night stay applies

If you will be checking in after 9 pm on weekdays or after 11 pm on Friday/Saturday, please let us know so we can make arrangements for you.

Guided Rides

A guided mountain ride can make your vacation planning easier and more memorable. You’ll be guided by an experienced rider and all rides are complimentary. Some destinations charge an entry fee, and a rest/eating stops will be included. If you are interested in booking a guided ride during your stay, email or speak with one of our guest service members.

Visit Great Rides in our Area to plan your day trips before you arrive. Once you arrive, we have several maps available in our gift shop. Our owner, Michelle Evans, is well versed in the local roads and can assist in your route planning as well.

We provide daily housekeeping service in our lodge rooms. Daily service is not offered in the cabins, but we do offer a daily curb side trash pick-up service.

Weather/What to Pack

Rooms and cabins are fully supplied with all linens, hair dryers, irons, coffee. You’ll just need your personal items. Review our weather information on clothing you should pack.


We do not offer a fitness center, but the resort does offer plenty of roads/trails for walking and our salt water pool is open May – September. The Gym of Blairsville is approximately 7 miles away.


There are many churches of all denominations in our area. Please consult the Guest Services Information book in your room or cabin for more information.

After hours or Sunday food delivery

Dominos Pizza in Blairsville does deliver to the resort. A local delivery service is also available to deliver from local restaurants.

Breakfast options

The Flying Trout Restaurant does not offer breakfast. There are many great local spots for a home cooked breakfast. Our favorites are:
